Ornamental Characteristics

Size: Tree < 30 feet

Height: 15 - 20'(30') (spread: equal or less)

Leaves: Deciduous

Shape: large shrub or small tree; arching branches and flat or rounded crown

Ornamental Other: Grows best in at least part shade, in its native range it is an understory plant. Greenish bark on younger plants is variable striped with white. Bark is generally quite ornamental. Large leaves are somewhat unique and can be attractivly pal to golden yellow depending on exposure to direct sunlight, come fall.
